This Privacy Policy explains what information Renova collects and how we use it. By using the service, you agree to the practices described here. 1. Information We Collect - Account information: the email address you sign up with. If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, we receive basic profile information from that provider. - Learning data: the courses you enroll in, your lesson progress, quiz attempts and answers, questions you ask the in-lesson tutor, and your learning preferences such as language and explanation style. - Billing information: your subscription status and plan. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full payment card numbers. - Creator application data: if you apply to become a creator, the name, biography, profile picture, and verification documents you provide, such as identification, proof of education, and proof of residence. 2. How We Use Your Information We use your information to operate and provide the service, personalize and generate learning content, track your progress, process subscriptions, review creator applications, maintain security, and improve the platform. 3. AI Processing To generate lessons, quizzes, and tutoring responses, relevant content such as lesson topics and the questions you ask may be processed by third-party AI providers. We aim to share only what is necessary for these features. 4. Service Providers We rely on third parties to host data, authenticate users, store files, process payments, and provide AI features. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. 5. How We Share Information We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers described above, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public. 6. Verification Documents Identity and eligibility documents submitted for the creator program are stored privately, accessed only for review purposes, and are not displayed publicly. 7. Data Retention and Deletion We retain your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, though some records may be retained where required by law. 8. Security We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 9. Your Choices You can update your preferences, manage or cancel your subscription, and request access to or deletion of your data. 10. Children The service is not directed to children below the age at which they can consent under the laws of their jurisdiction. 11. International Users Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live. 12. Changes We may update this policy from time to time. This section describes how Renova accesses, uses, stores, shares, and retains data obtained through Google when you choose to sign in with Google. It supplements the Privacy Policy above. Data We Access When you select "Continue with Google," we use Google OAuth to authenticate you and request only the basic profile scopes: your name, email address, profile picture, and your Google account identifier. We do not request or access your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google services or data. How We Use the Data We use this Google profile information solely to create and secure your account, sign you in, recognize you across sessions, and display your name and profile picture within the app. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles for purposes unrelated to providing the service. How We Share the Data We do not sell Google user data and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The data is processed only by our authentication and database provider (Supabase), acting on our behalf to operate sign-in and store your account, and may be disclosed where required by law. Renova's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Storage and Protection Google account information is stored in our managed database provided by Supabase and protected by encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and authentication safeguards. Access is limited to what is needed to operate the service. Retention and Deletion We retain your Google account profile information for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings or by emailing us at renova@renova.academy, after which we delete the data except where retention is required by law.
